Originally by: billybutcher updated today from 1.0.3 to 1.0.4 and now cant play!
when opening client im told by client "unable to connect to 87.237.38.200 on port 26000"
i have tried reinstalling eve but yet still no joy, windows firewall is turned off completely and my internet connection is stable and connected. server status is active according to your own server status page. running on windows vista
Im gettin this as well. Windows 7, 32 bit. Currently has the "unable to connect to 87.237.38.200 on port 26000". I have turned off firewall, turned on firewall with an exception, I have accessed my router and added an exception for 26000. No go on anything. Restarted several times, and I was leaning towards reinstalling, but if it doesnt work for him im not going to bother.
I loaded up ping plotter, 110 ping. The only thing I can find is that it appears the second hop shows 100% packet loss. I dont know what this means. There isnt a dns attached to the loss.
My router is set up... my firewall is fine... so why is it refusing to connect?

Edited by: Fenris Rake on 18/08/2010 21:43:00 according to http://eve-offline.net/?server=tranquility theres 37k ppl on right now. so apparently only a few of us got boned by this recent patch.
Update to my little problem, I made my computer DMZ through my router, did absolutely nothing. Also updated SISI to latest client to check if I still couldnt login, and yep still count. "unable to connect to ip(SISI IP) on port 26000"
Any ideas on what to check? Just give me something to work on.

I have new information on my problem of "unable to connect to 87.237.38.200 on port 1600" with the new patch. Apparently it is LINKED to the fact I am Running Windows 7.
I have updated and connected successfully with my second computer running Windows XP. It is no longer an issue with my router or ISP. It is just this computer running windows 7 and possibly something to do with the firewall (even though its off).
Any ideas CCP? I no longer know what to try, now that I know its win 7 thats doing it.

With the "Unable to connect to 87.237.38.200 on port 26000" problem, I have no proxy software installed, no xfire, no netlimiter, and no problem pinging the server. Only my windows 7 computer is effected (my xp laptop, which can login and fix skills but not much else, has no problems.) Not sure what next to try.
But why would xfire be doing anything to eve? I used to use xfire alot, and alot of players use it. I dont want to have to sacrifice good programs just to play eve...

Edited by: Fenris Rake on 20/08/2010 18:21:01 Apparently some people forgot that for any update, you always put a 10-20 day skill up on queue.
In related news.... anyone manage to figure out how to get rid of the "unable to connect to (IP) on port 26000" problem?
So far ccp has suggested I try pinging the server (110) and uninstalling any proxy software (of which I still have none.) Of course, I'm runnin Win7, while my crappy laptop running XP has no problems.
Any ideas from you guys? Router's port has already been opened, firewall is off. Im out of ideas.
Edit: yea I'm about to the point of reinstalling win7 which is stupid. Updating eve shouldnt make you uninstall half your programs and reinstall windows to get it to run.

Originally by: Gilliosa'Fin Lues OK all I guess this is it. My subs run out tomorrow on both of my Accounts, CCP GM have replied to my Petition and we have been going back and forth for 3 days and I have tried all the stuff they suggested aside from wiping my PC and reinstalling everything. (I ain't going there) so even if they fix it I won't be able to check if it works.
At least they're trying to help. Ive gotten a response, singular, and it did nothing. Then 2 days of silence.
